The app never invents a use-by date. If a date is a guess from typical shelf life, it says so.
Scan it. Pick it. Chef it.
Scan your fridge, freezer and pantry with the Use It Fresh app to create a complete inventory of the groceries you have at home, use-by dates and all.
Use It Fresh then recommends personalised recipes based on what you already have and your preferences and dietary requirements, prioritising ingredients closest to expiry.
No more guessing what you have, penning shopping lists or staring into the fridge at dinner time.
Use what you have, waste less, and eat a little better every day.

No typing your fridge into a list. One scan in, dinner out.

Scan a shelf, a barcode or a receipt. Every item is found, named, counted and dated for you.

See what needs using first, with honest dates: printed or estimated, it always says which.

Dinner ideas from exactly what you have tonight, led by whatever is closest to its date.
Food waste
Most of it isn't careless. It's the spinach at the back, the second tub of yoghurt bought because we forgot the first, the leftovers nobody remembered.
Source: Queensland Government, food waste facts.
Every food shows how long it has. One calm reminder a day names what to use next.
Meal ideas start with whatever is closest to its date, not a recipe you'd need to shop for.
Won't get to it in time? Freeze it from the food's card and buy yourself months.
What you used and what you threw out, over six months, so the next shop is smaller.
AI that does the boring bits
Use It Fresh uses AI for the jobs nobody wants to do by hand, and is honest about what it can't do.
Each item is named, counted and given an estimated life. Anything it had to guess is marked.
Built from what you have, leaving out your allergies and diets every time, for everyone at the table.
The meals you keep, cook and skip shape the next ideas. You can see it and change it.
It never invents a use-by date and never says food is safe. Scans are only used to read the food.
From the meals you keep, plan, cook and eat.
An example. Yours is built from your own choices.
The things we promise, whatever plan you're on.

The app never invents a use-by date. If a date is a guess from typical shelf life, it says so.

It won't tell you food is safe or spoiled. When in doubt with high-risk food, throw it out and follow local food-safety advice.

One kitchen the whole household sees: the same food, shopping list and plans, live on everyone's phone.

No advertising or analytics in the app, and nothing about you sold to anyone.
Free and Plus
The everyday things stay free. Plus is less typing and more time for dinner, for everyone in your household.
A$0 for good
A$49.99 a year
About A$4.17 a month. Starts with 7 days free.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Plus is bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, renews until you cancel, and can be cancelled at any time in your store account. A Free kitchen is for 2 people.
No, and it never will. It tracks dates and gives estimates so you notice food in time. Judging whether something is safe is yours to make — check the food itself, and when in doubt with high-risk food, throw it out.
A scan of a shelf, a receipt or a single food is sent to Google's Gemini service to read what's in it, and the picture is stored in your household's private storage so your food has a picture. Receipt scans aren't kept. See the privacy policy.
Yes. Create a household and share its invite code. Everyone sees the same food, shopping list and plans, and changes appear on each other's phones straight away.
From choices you already make in the app: the meal ideas you keep, the meals you plan, cook and mark as eaten, and the ones you skip or swap out. Recent choices count most, so a phase doesn't stick forever. A short summary goes with your food list when you ask for ideas. You can read it, remove parts of it or reset it in Profile → What we've learned. It's part of Plus.
The app is free, and most of it stays free: your kitchen, dates and use-soon reminders, the shopping list, meal ideas from what you have, what you used, and 3 shelf or receipt scans a month (plus 3 to fill your kitchen at the start). Plus is A$7.99 a month or A$49.99 a year, and adds unlimited scans, the week planner, receipts and budgets, meals that fit your goals and ideas that learn your taste, for up to 6 people. You can look at everything before you decide.
