Terms of use
Last updated 10 October 2026
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and THE PET WELLBEING COMPANY PTY LTD (ACN 673 319 652, ABN 13 673 319 652) (“we”, “us”) for the Use It Fresh app and this website. By using the app you accept them.
2. Food safety — please read
The app records dates you enter and, where there is none, estimates one from a typical shelf life. Estimates are labelled as estimates. The app does not inspect your food and cannot know how it has been stored or handled.
- It never tells you food is safe, spoiled or fit to eat.
- Meal ideas are written by a machine from the names of your food; they are suggestions, not recipes tested by a chef or checked by a dietitian.
- Allergy and diet exclusions do their best to leave foods out, but they are not a medical check. Read the label on everything you cook with, every time.
- Calorie and protein figures are estimates for guidance, not nutrition or medical advice.
Use your own judgement, follow the storage advice on the packaging, and when in doubt with high-risk food, throw it out.
3. Your account
You need an account, and you must give a working email address. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to agree to these terms — at least 13, and older where your country requires it.
4. Households
A household shares one kitchen: its food, photos, shopping list, receipts and plans are visible to every member. Only join or invite people you trust, and only add someone else's details if they are happy for you to. Leaving a household leaves that household's information with it.
5. What you put in
Your food, photos and notes stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to your household so the app can work, and to send photos to our service providers to be read (see the privacy policy). Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to share. If you ever choose to share pictures of packaged products beyond your household, we will ask you first and explain what that means.
6. Fair use
Please do not try to break the app, get at other people's kitchens, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing service. We may suspend an account that does.
7. Paid features
Use It Fresh Plus is a paid, auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play. The price and what is included are shown before you buy. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid yearly subscription.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Payment is taken by Apple or Google, and you manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel it. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's rules. One Plus plan covers the household it belongs to, up to 6 people.
8. What we promise, and what we don't
We will do our best to keep the app running and your information safe, but the app is provided as it is. We cannot promise it will always be available, or always right about a date, a photo or a meal idea.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Beyond those rights, we are not liable for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen — including food you throw away or keep based on what the app showed.
9. Stopping
You can stop at any time: ask us to delete your account (see support) and it goes, along with the information described in the privacy policy. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken, or if we stop running the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your information out.
10. Changes
If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app when the change matters.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there deal with any dispute.
